95% of our inputs are Mexican. The textile raw material comes from the states of Jalisco and Yucatan, promoting regional trade. All our garments are 100% cotton using cotton jute, cotton blanket and cotton gauze.
In our MESTIZO Artisanal Workshop, we seek to optimize the materials to the circular economy policies: reducing, reusing and recycling the materials generated within the workshop. The purchase of the bovine leather raw material for accessories is directly within the State of Yucatan, in the communities of Tizimín and Valladolid. Being a slow fashion brand, we promote awareness about the regeneration of materials such as leather and cotton.
INTERTEK CERTIFICATE
All our textile and leather product dyes are free of azo dyes (which accelerate cancer cells in the human body, generate hyperactivity, allergies and potentially increase mortality in humans), carcinogenic materials and have international textile certifications, which makes our garments suitable for all skin types, exportable to any country and most importantly, safe to use.
TIF CERTIFICATE
The bovine leather used in our accessories is obtained from TIF-certified slaughterhouses located in the municipalities of Tizimín and Valladolid, maintaining local and total consumption by prioritizing materials from the region. This certificate guarantees the quality and safety (free of bacteria, fungi, mold, chemicals and other materials harmful to health) of the producers involved in the livestock industry.
